The National Immigration Administration has officially implemented five measures to facilitate foreigners coming to China from January 11, further opening up relevant ways for foreign nationals to come to China for business, study and tourism。The five measures include: 1. Relaxation of conditions for foreigners coming to China to apply for port visa; 2. Foreigners can transit directly through Beijing Capital Airport and other airports 24 hours a day without going through inspection procedures; 3. Foreigners in China can apply for visa extension, replacement and reissue at their nearest location; 4. Foreigners in China who need to enter and exit multiple times can apply for a re-entry visa; 5. Simplify application materials for visa documents for foreigners in China.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced it will delay the enforcement of the requirements for cosmetic product facility registration and product listing requirements under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA) for an additional six months. In a guidance published on November 8, 2023, the U.S. FDA announced that they will not enforce the cosmetic product facility registration and cosmetic product listing requirements for an additional six months, until July 1, 2024. The Agency said the postponement aims to help ensure that industry has sufficient time to submit such information.

Chanel Parfums Beauté and g.pivaudran have joined forces for the large-scale launch of the very first mascara product packed in recycled aluminum. The innovation will be showcased at the Paris Packaging Week on 17th and 18th January 2024. The new primary packs of Chanel’s “Le Volume”, “Le Volume Révolution” and “Le Volume Stretch” mascaras will now contain a share of post-consumer recycled (PCR) aluminum of between 10% and 20%, depending on the decor models.
