In recent years, a large number of domestic products have "surfaced in Japan", setting off an upsurge of "Chinese makeup" in Japan.  Back home, the opposite also holds true, with Japanese beauty products flourishing at China Beauty Expo, a benchmark for the beauty industry in China.  The popularity of Japanese beauty is evident annually inside N5, the "Japanese Hall".

Statistics shows that the most imported cosmetics in China are from Japan!

Since 2019, Japan has surpassed South Korea to take the top spot in total value of Chinese cosmetics imported. In 2020, Japanese cosmetics imported $4.297 billion, surpassing its rivals France and South Korea, accounting for 24.79%! 

Consumers have long been using Japanese brands.Whether it is Generation Z or post-85s, Chinese women will always have some type of Japanese beauty product in their cosmetic bag, whether its lipstick or eye shadow.

Location, Location, Location

Based on the past successful editions, this year's Japanese Hall at the China Beauty Expo will once again be positioned in Hall N5.  This is a top tier location being adjacent to the East Entrance, surrounded by E7 Emerging Brands and E6 Korean Hall, together forming the Asian beauty triangle.  

Super Ambiance

As the "originator" who put forward the concepts of "plain skin" and "anti-sugar", Japan promotes attainability and naturalness in the fields of skin care and beauty, which is similar to the emotional needs of domestic consumers to "return to nature."

Such a fit is not only reflected in the consumption data, but also from the brands that will be in Hall N5. In addition to traditional Japanese cosmetics brands such as KOSE, well-known skin care brands such as SPA treatment & Honey, Taiyo No. Aroessha etc. all have registered in advance, explosive product manufacturers Dr.Arrivo, KISSME, CANMAKE will all be present. Heavyweight exhibitors from oral beauty products, men's care, home beauty equipment and other categories will join together in Hall N5 to build a super ambiance of Japanese brands.
