China Beauty Expo – the largest and most professional international beauty trade exhibition in Mainland China has already attracted over 1400 Chinese and international brands into an enlarged four halls at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The four halls are divided according to the different product categories and distribution channels in the Chinese beauty market which are:

  • Hall E2: international exhibitors and pavilions including the Korean Pavilion, Japanese Pavilion and Hong Kong Pavilion
  • Hall E3: professional line products and equipment including further international exhibitors
  • Hall E4 COSMETECH: devoted to packaging, machinery, raw materials and ingredients

International Exhibitors and Visitors on the Increase
To date a large number of Chinese and international exhibitors have already joined the event including many major brands such as Shiseido and Kanebo from Japan, Swissline and Swallowfield from the U.S., UDV Perfumes from France, Haasbel and Germaine de Capuccini from Spain, Muster e Dikson and Paglieri Sell System from Italy, Tom & Jerry, Hydroderm and Markwins International
from U.S.A and local Chinese brands such as Shanghai Jahwa and Longliqi. Over 150,000 trade visitors ranging from distributors to retailers, importers/exporters, salon owners and SPA massage specialists will visit China Beauty Expo making this event the most important calendar date for manufacturers and trade buyers in China’s beauty industry.

Pan – China Promotion Campaign
Based upon many years of successful experience in beauty trade buyer and visitor promotion, the China Beauty Expo organisers have targeted an even larger 2006 visitor promotion campaign, which now also includes the ten largest wholesale cooperative market associations such as Jinfa Market in Guangzhou, Golden Lotus Market in Chengdu and Yiwu Market. These markets are an essential part of the beauty product wholesale/retail chain and represent a large segment of the annual spending in China, which now estimates at over US$12 Billion p.a.
In addition the event organiser has entered into a strategic and exclusive cooperation with over thirty national and provincial beauty trade associations giving the event complete national coverage.
Together these wholesale/retail markets and the exclusive trade association generate a substantial increase in Chinese sourcing & buyer groups visiting the China Beauty Expo 2006.

Building on 2005 success
China Beauty Expo 2005 attracted over 150 000 professionals from 63 countries and regions – Chinese buyers, mainly wholesalers, retailers and agents representing over 2000 cities in 300 regions. In 2006 this number is set to grow even further with China’s beauty market growth expected to top 25% year on year.

Strong Media Relationships
Over the past few years, China Beauty Expo has established a strong collaboration with several leading trade media including magazines, newspapers and websites to promote itself. The China Beauty Expo media partners include not only multinational giants
like ICN, ESTETICA, Export Magazine, Peluquerias Hair Style, Euro Cosmetics and H4ufme, but also 25 leading Chinese magazines such as Health & Beauty and Esthetical Beauty.
China Beauty Expo now also publishes its own official newspaper Cosmetic News, a monthly trade newspaper with a circulation of over 100,000 copies in China.
Information about International Pavilions such as Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, plus other local and international exhibitors with special or novel products and services suppliers will be strongly promoted in these columns as well as the Chinese ODM and OEM manufacturers. This helps provide both exhibitor and visitor pre-show matching as an important added-value service to China Beauty Expo.

China Beauty Expo offers official expert advice to international companies and brands
With the increasing number of international exhibitors at China Beauty Expo and the growing popularity of the exhibition, the organisers have set up a special China Beauty Expo steering committee made up of trade experts and professionals experienced in China’s beauty industry. They will be available to offer international exhibitors the opportunity to receive detailed information and advice on the latest rules and regulations for cosmetic import and export, product registration and intellectual property protection rights. This service is in high demand already as the market undergoes constant change. More news on this important new development will be available soon and will also be covered by special press coverage in April.
